    Newton County's Emergency Management Agency is hosting an informational class on emergency preparedness in June. There will be two chances to take the class, on June 29 from noon to 1 p.m. or June 30 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Both classes will be in the Turner Lake Complex, 6185 Turner Lake Road, Covington. The classes will teach how to make a home emergency plan, how to prepare your home for an emergency and how to receive information alerts through Code Red. The classes are free and open to all.
