Newton County residents can purchase Vehicle Hang Tags for 2019-2020 for use of the County's Convenience Centers beginning Monday, June 3.Image of Convenience Center Proof 20 sample

The hang tags can be purchased for $155 at the Newton County Historic Courthouse, 1124 Clark Street, Covington Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The hang tags, which are required to enter any and all of the County's six Convenience Centers, are valid annually from July 1 through June 30.

Newton County offers Trash Collection Convenience Centers to its residents in the form of six centers. These centers, which are strategically located throughout the county, accept household garbage, bulk waste and recyclables. Up to 10 bags of trash, a week will be allowed.

For all hang tags residents must complete an application and show proof of residency with a tax or utility bill, mortgage statement or lease agreement. Print out the Convenience Center Access Permit form (PDF)Opens a New Window. and mail or bring in to the Newton County Historic Courthouse.
