Newton County is suspending sales of its Convenience Center Hang Tags temporarily in preparation for the new tags, which will be available beginning June 1.
The 2023-24 hang tags are $175 and will be valid at each of the six convenience centers through June 30, 2024. The hang tags for the new fiscal year will go on sale Thursday, June 1, online at https://www.co.newton.ga.us/273/Convenience-Recycling-Centers and inside the Newton County Historic Courthouse, 1124 Clark Street.
The 2022-23 hang tags will still be accepted at the centers through July 1. Following July 1, only the 2023-24 hang tags will be accepted.
Newton County’s six convenience centers locations are as follows:

- 11575 Covington Bypass Road, Covington
- 112 Oak Hill Road, Covington
- 10545 Highway 36, Covington
- 14656 Highway 36, Covington
- 70 Stone Road, Oxford
