Keep Covington/Newton Beautiful will host its annual Rivers Alive river cleanup on Saturday, Sept. 28.
The public is invited to come out and help keep the waterways of Newton County clean. The cleanup will begin with a meet up at Longhorn Steakhouse of Covington, 6112 Pavilion Way NW, Covington, at 9 a.m. A free breakfast, T-shirt and cleaning supplies will be given while supplies last. After gathering at Longhorn cleaning teams will split up and go out to waterways.
