Register at the Newton County Library when
you apply for a library card; or any time you
are at any library you may pick up a blank
application & mail it yourself.

You may download a voter registration application from the Secretary of State's website
(http://sos.georgia.gov), complete the application and mail to our office at P.O. Box 1274, Covington, GA  30015

Any mail-in application must be postmarked by 30 days prior to an election.  Anyone registering to vote for the first time in Georgia by mail must include proper identification with the application.

Register when you get your driver's license.

Register at any City Hall within the County.

NOTE;  If you mail in an application, call our office to be sure we received it.  Any time you register anywhere, except in person at our office, we strongly suggest that you follow up with our office to be sure we received the application.

Once an application is processed, a voter registration card will be sent to you in approximately three to four weeks.  This card gives you all your voting information.

Every time you move, or have a name change, it is your responsibility to change your registration 30 days prior to the next election date to be eligible to vote in that election.
