Project Description: The work to be included under this Contract shall include all labor, materials, equipment and services for the proper completion of the restoration and rehabilitation of both the interior and exterior of the Newton County Historic Jail Building located 1177 Stalling Street, Covington, GA 30014. Proposers shall inform them-selves concerning Georgial Laws and comply with same and shall have a Georgia Contractors License issued by the State of Georgia.

INVITATION FOR BIDS RFB # 10-03 Turner Lake Park-Turkey Creek Trail Improvements
Sealed bids for furnishing all labor, material, equipment, and services necessary for the following work will be received at the Newton County Board of Commissioners, Administrative Services, located at 1124 Clark Street, Covington, Georgia 30014, no later than 10:00 A.M., local time on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud. This will be a Federally assisted contract and compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules and regulations is required.

Project Description: This project includes entrance enhancements to Turner Lake Park, trail improvements within the park, repair and enhancements to the existing boardwalk, and a small pedestrian bridge. The project site is located within the property of Turner Lake Park at the intersection of Turner Lake Road and Clark Street, in the City of Covington, Newton Couinty.

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS #10-04 Surveying Services for the Newton County Neighborhood Stabilization Program
Sealed qualifications for Survey Services for the Neighborhood Stabilization Program will be received at the Newton County Board of Commissioners, located at 1124 Clark Street, Covington, Georgia 30014, no later than 10:00 A.M., local time on Tuesday, January 12, 2010.

Project Description: Applicants will be called on an as-needed basis to price surveys on properties the County may purchase through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program.
Each applicant shall examine and thoroughly familiarize themselves with all existing conditions, including all laws, ordinances, rules and regulations that will affect the work prior to submitting an RFQ. Please note that the NSP is a federally-funded initiative, coordinated at the state level by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA). Accordingly, federal procurement guidelines and program requirements delineated by DCA shall apply as applicable.
The county may place multiple proposers on the preapproved list to receive future invitations to bid.
