Newton County wants to make you aware that the federal environmental document associated with the Proposed Realignment of Access Road at Crowell Road has been reviewed by the Federal Highway Administration and is available for public review and comment. The document, as well as displays and additional project information, will be presented in the parking lot of Potters House Church (1120 Crowell Road N, Covington, GA 30014) on Oct. 15, 2020 between 4 p.m. and 7 pm. The project will be presented via FM-transmitter while you participate from your car. Any individuals walking into the venue will be directed to a tented area containing spaced seating per the current guidelines. Presentations and Question & Answer Sessions will be held in one-hour periods from 4 p.m.-5 p.m., 5 p.m.-6 p.m., and 6 p.m.-7 p.m.

Georgia DOT is also providing the information to be presented at the public hearing in a web-based platform so that there will be no need for direct face-to-face contact.  If you cannot attend the in-person public hearing open house, you can view the conceptual drawing, handout, a digital copy of the Environmental Assessment, and have an opportunity to comment online until Oct. 29, 2020 at http://www.dot.ga.gov/AboutGDOT/PublicOutreach.
